Everything you need to know before and after you buy.
// Compatibility
Which Serato version does it work with?
Built for current Serato DJ Pro on macOS 13 or later (Apple Silicon).
Does it work with rekordbox / Traktor / VirtualDJ?
CrateEdit Pro is built specifically for Serato's tags and grid format today. Loudness, key, and tag edits are standard and carry anywhere, but hot cues and beatgrids are written in Serato's format.
Do I need Serato installed?
For cues and beatgrids, yes — those write into Serato. Loudness, tags, and key work on the files directly.
Apple Silicon only?
Yes — it's a native arm64 app built for M-series Macs.
// Your library
Will it mess up my library or my files?
It writes standard ID3 tags and Serato's own data — the same things Serato writes. Your audio and library stay yours. As with any batch tool, keep a backup of your library.
Does it change my audio?
Only when you choose to — loudness normalize and the editor re-render audio; tags, cues, key, and grids are metadata and leave the audio untouched.
What formats does it support?
Standard DJ formats — MP3 and common lossless/compressed files.
// Your license
Is it really one-time?
Yes. Pay once, use it forever, updates included. No subscription.
What if I get a new Mac?
Deactivate on the old machine, activate on the new one — a click each way, no support ticket.
How many machines?
One active device per license, movable anytime.

// Buying

Is checkout secure?
Yes — payments are handled by Square; we never see your card details.
